Orchids
This section was created initailly due to my frustration in not being able to find a comprehensive list of orchid abbreviations in books or other websites. It is coninually being updated with not only abbreviations but notes on orchid varieties, cultural information and changes in taxonomy.
Commentary is welcome, along with any informational input that would clarify or add to the current data. Photographs are also welcome for the "Gallery of Orchid Species.
Within the Orchid section of this website, you will be able to cross reference orchids and their abbreviations. As far as I know, this is the only place on the web you will find this type of comprehensive database. Along with the cross reference section, you will find images of orchids and their formal names.
